Our client, a distributor of building materials, is looking for a Technical Sales Representative to sell products in the field of construction for the territory of Montreal. The bilingual, conscientious and autonomous sales representative, with a great sense of organization. An interest in construction, design and architecture will be considered an asset.
Under the direction of the President, the Technical Sales Representative ensures the increase in sales volume through the acquisition of new customers and the maintenance of existing customers.
Follow up on requests for samples, submissions and/or information on products and services.
Communicate with architectural firms, general contractors and industrial companies to present technical products.
Specifically, your main responsibilities will be to:
Act as a technical expert to train architects, engineers and installers on the application of the various products in the range. Be perceived as an essential reference in their field of expertise;
Develop proposals presenting the advantages and benefits in the use of the company’s products;
Ensure a higher level of customer satisfaction to assist in customer loyalty and market expansion;
Actively participate in all training activities, trade shows, conferences and association meetings to highlight the products and solutions offered by the company;
Make the necessary watch on the products of the competition in order to be always aware of market trends, innovations and act accordingly;
Maintain business relationships with specialized contractors who use the products offered by the company;
Carry out regular visits to construction sites and factories;
Maintain a database of prospecting activities as well as the evolution of ongoing projects;
Business development and cold calls;
Provide technical information;
Promote the business and equipment in the designated territory.
Your profile • :
3 to 5 years of experience in B2B sales in the industrial or construction field
Excellent communication skills with ability to make technical presentations
Ability to build excellent professional relationships
Asset: Experience selling products or services for construction contractors
