Our client is a recognized leader in its innovative solutions in the field of material handling. As part of its international expansion, the company is looking to strengthen its presence in the mining sector by recruiting a Director of International Business Development. Position Summary:
This position will play a key role in increasing sales globally. He will develop strategic business relationships with customers, dealers, manufacturing agents and partners, while developing effective strategies to enter new markets.
Main responsibilities:
- Close meaningful sales and build strong business relationships.
- Meet or exceed sales targets set by management.
- Prospect for new customers and strategic partners around the world.
- To develop an efficient distribution network in the mining sector.
- Present and promote the company’s solutions to customers and partners.
- Travel regularly internationally to meet clients, train partners and participate in trade shows.
- Monitor mining industry trends and innovations to anticipate market needs.
- Attend industry events and contribute to the international growth strategy.
- Manage administrative tasks: calls, emails, preparation of submissions, presentations, etc.
Profile sought:
- Experience: 10 to 15 years in international business development, with expertise in the mining sector.
- Technical or engineering training: A significant asset.
- Language skills: Perfect command of English (mandatory). Intermediate Spanish (asset).
- International mobility: Valid passport and ability to travel frequently.
- Valid driver’s license.
- University: An asset.
