Recruit EmploymentOur client is a leading international manufacturer and is looking for a new National Logistics Manager to join its team.

The ideal candidate has excellent qualities of self-learning, autonomy and initiative. The National Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all logistics activities nationwide to ensure a smooth and efficient supply chain. This role focuses on strategic planning, operations management and optimization of logistics processes without direct responsibility for managing employees. The work is done at the Pointe-Claire, QC facility

Main responsibilities:

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement national logistics strategies aligned with the company’s objectives.

Develop master plans for the optimization of distribution networks and flows of goods.

Coordination of Operations: Supervise logistics operations throughout the national territory.

Coordinate transportation, distribution and inventory management activities to ensure effective execution of strategic plans.

Partnership Management: Collaborate with external logistics service providers such as carriers, warehouses and logistics service providers.

Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure optimal service levels and competitive costs.

Analysis and Optimization: Analyze logistics performance on a national scale and identify opportunities for optimization.

Implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs.

Risk Management: Assess potential supply chain risks and implement mitigation measures.

Ensure compliance with government regulations and safety standards in all logistics operations.

Job Requirements:

University degree in logistics, operations management or a related field.

Significant work experience in the field of logistics, preferably at a national or regional level.

Strong strategic planning, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.

In-depth knowledge of logistics practices, information technology and ERP systems.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and make strategic decisions.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Knowledge of SAP.

Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact effectively with different teams and levels of the organization.
