About the role : The electrical engineer will be responsible for carrying out electrical studies, arc flash risk analysis
and the use of ETAP software for power system modeling and simulation. He will participate in complex and innovative projects, while ensuring that the facilities comply with safety standards.
Responsibilities :
- Carry out sizing studies for electrical installations in accordance with the standards and regulations in force.
- Perform flash arc risk analyses, define protection levels and propose solutions to ensure the safety of electrical installations.
- Model and analyze power grids using ETAP software to optimize the performance of electrical installations.
- Develop detailed technical documents and analytical reports.
- To ensure that knowledge is up-to-date on electrical engineering standards, technologies and best practices.
- Work closely with other engineers and field teams to ensure quality and success of projects.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position, with expertise in electrical calculations , arc analysis.
- Model and analyze power grids using ETAP software to optimize the performance of electrical installations.
- Certifications : Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or in the process of obtaining it.
Technical skills :
- Mastery of electrical protection calculations and sizing studies.
- Expertise in flash arc risk analyses and the implementation of appropriate protections.
- Proficiency in the use of ETAP software for simulations and modeling of power grids.
- Knowledge of electrical standards and regulations (NF C15-100, IEC, ANSI, IEEE, etc.).

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Rigor and attention to detail in the work.
- Good communication skills, in French and English (oral and written).
