Position Summary
We are looking for an Operations Manager / Production Manager with solid experience in the pulp and paper industry, particularly with paper machines.
Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination and optimization of production operations. You will play a strategic role in achieving performance objectives while leading and engaging your teams in a demanding and constantly evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate production activities (pulp, steam, causticizing, paper machines and shipping).
- Ensure compliance with quality, health and safety, and environmental standards.
- Lead and support production teams through a collaborative and results-oriented approach.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to maximize productivity and reduce costs.
- Participate in the development and monitoring of operating budgets.
- Promote continuous improvement and process optimization.
Required Qualifications
- University or college education in engineering, applied sciences or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the pulp and paper industry or a related industry.
- Proven expertise with paper machines.
- Bilingualism (French and English).
- Excellent ability to lead, communicate and manage priorities.
- Collaborative, rigorous and results-oriented leadership style.
