Our client, an international equipment manufacturer specializing in the design and manufacture of industrial production and automation equipment and systems that has stood out for several years, is actively looking for a Technical Machinist and Machining Advisor (the) passionate about CNC programming, machining parts manufacturing and quality, we have a great career opportunity for you!

Your challenge

Our client for its quality department and purchase of custom manufactured parts, is looking for a Technical Advisor to join its dynamic team located in Trois-Rivières or Montreal.

 

The Parts Manufacturing Technical Advisor will provide subject matter expert support on related practices to support strategic direction on procurement and quality initiatives. This position will work globally with all business units, outsourcing managers, their teams as well as suppliers to ensure quality, improved manufacturing methods and delivery dates of products to internal and external customers.

 

Expectations

 

You must have a college diploma or professional degree with extensive experience working in computer numerical control (CNC) machining, from model design to coding, machine preparation and writing work procedures to guide others in performing machine operation. Intermediate-level computer skills to advance with Microsoft Office are required, especially with Excel as well as with digital multimedia tools to document processes and training.

 

To excel in this role, you must have experience in the manufacturing process of oversized parts related to the pulp and paper, mining and/or marine industries will be a considerable asset.

 

This position requires the ability to offer support to the customer and its suppliers, both virtually and by moving to these locations worldwide.

*Your profile*

A professional diploma (DEP) with a specialization in machinist, or a college diploma (DEC) in mechanical engineering and technology, ideally with at least two years of relevant experience acquired in an industrial repair shop.

Bilingual (French and English for oral and written communications).
